Blog Title: My Family
Weekly Feature Theme: My Family & Family Members
Week: October 14th, 2019 to October 18th, 2019
What
are we learning?
Dear Parents,
We hope you are having a
wonderful week. We are going to start a new topic “My Family.” Children will
learn for the next two weeks about the role of family, the importance of family,
and family diversity. This week we will discuss mainly family members.
We have scheduled exciting activities
related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences
that help kids explore everything related to the family in different ways. Each one
of them will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language
and socio-emotional skills. Below you can find a summary of all activities

Year-Round Activities
Student of the Week &
Traveling Pet
Please make sure to sign
up your child for these beautiful activities as these 2 are the children's
favorites! These activities allow every child to create and share memories with
their classmates. Student of the week will run from August through January and
Traveling Pet from January to the end of the School Year.
As you know, every week,
a child is given a set week that he/she is the student of the week. On Monday
of their week, the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created
with family pictures, favorite books, sports, hobbies, animals and other
interests. Parents will pick a day to present a banner to the classroom. The
student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they
can share with classmates.
As for the Traveling Pet
activity, the classroom pet will spend a whole week with the child and family.
During that week, parents and the child will have fun together with a new
member of the family while providing love and care to the pet. Our pet loves to
read at night, go to the park, visit museums, give hugs and kisses! However,
the pet does not like taking a bath as he can get sick. Parents and children
will enjoy bonding time and making new memories, and the child will be very
excited to share all the memories with his/her classmates. In their week,
parents and the child should bring a collage of pictures and a written paper
containing a brief description of what they did with the pet. Parents should
make sure to place the collage inside the traveling pet bag.
Sign up for both
activities today! Sign-up sheets are available at the entrance of the
classroom.

Respeto a papa amo mi mama
Mi abuelo y mi abuela felices están
Esta es mi familia, es mi dulce hogar.
Chachachacha amo a mi mama
Chachachacha amo a mi papa (x2)
Poems
Viva mi familia
Que felicidad
Vivo junto a ellos
Es fenomenal
Todos los niños y niñas
Necesitan un hogar
Una casita encantada
Un lugar para soñar
Todas las mañanas
Sueño al despertar
Que del cielo viene un ángel
Que me viene a besar.
Al abrir los ojos
Miro donde esta
Y en el mismo sitio
Veo a mis papas.
Riddles
Empieza con “A”
Y muchos cariños me da.
Me cuida , me mima
Y es la mamá de mi mama
